Special Interest

Merry Mixers, Friends of NSCH For over 54 years, the Merry Mixers have been raising funds to support the North Shore Children’s Hospital. While the faces change over time, the goal remains the same; to provide state of the art medical equipment for the hospital that cares for children on the North Shore. Fundraising efforts have resulted in the near completion of an entire room from paint on the walls to the extensive medical equipment that allows doctors and nurses to provide first class care to even the smallest patients. The Merry Mixers are a able to accomplish this great task with a committee of seventeen local women and only two events annually.

Marblehead Museum and Historical Society The Marblehead Museum and Historical Society is committed to preserving materials relating to Marblehead. It is funded on membership due and contributions and along with a volunteer and professional staff and governed by a Board of Directors.

Friends of Marblehead Public Schools Established in 1991 as a non-profit educational foundation with a mission to support academic enrichment in the Marblehead Public Schools. It's volunteers are parents, teachers, school administrators, business people and community members who raise funds to enhance academics, athletics, arts, staff and curriculum development and student activities. Through fundraising efforts, including the Friends of Marblehead Public Schools Summer Soire, they have funded grants in excess of $500,000.

Marblehead Family Fund The Marblehead Family Fund is a non-profit group of parent volunteers that supports the interests and needs of all kids from toddlers to teens.  They provide services that promote the health and well being of children and families and remain committed to functional public spaces, outdoor fun, and affordable family entertainment. The Marblehead Family Fund exists to enhance the best qualities of the town in the true spirit of Marblehead.  They host many favorite events, including Touch a Truck, The Pumpkin Fair, and the very successful Gingerbread Festival.

Team Up The goal of TeamUp is to strengthen the community by facilitating educational presentations, workshops and activities that address current social and emotional issues for students, parents and educators in our community. TeamUp forges alliances among key resources in the community to create a unifying community-wide curriculum on important issues that affect us all. This approach offers students, parents and educators the power of common understanding and consistent resources to “team up” and face these issues together.

Junior Aid Society, Inc. A non-profit organization, founded in 1927, that supports women's and children's charities on Boston's North Shore.  The members are local women motivated to help those in need.  Junior Aid Society, Inc. organizes between two and three events per year and donates 100% of it's fundraising proceeds to deserving local groups working directly with women and children in need.  

Marblehead Conservancy The Marblehead Conservancy aims to protect, acquire and enhance Marblehead's natural resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the community and the generations that follow.

Marblehead Arts Association The Marblehead Arts Association began with just 8 members in 1922. With its current home at the King Hooper Mansion, the Marblehead Arts Association now has over 1000 members with 430 of them artists, artisans, painters, sculptors and photographers. With gallery exhibits that change monthly, adult and children's classes, musical and theatrical performances and a gift shop, the Marblehead Arts Association is a vital part of the community.
